You can always take a grinder to the teeth.  Unless you are using a chain, it 
appears that the sprocket teeth are a little too wide for the TTS system.  I 
have been wrestling with sprocket selection on the Sherman as well.

A bit of extra play is better than not enough - not enough and it wont engage 
at all

My M113 tracks/sprockets have about 2-3mm of turning backwards before engaging 
on the teeth.

Part of my problem is the precision on the measurement; how close to 3.955" 
(for example) do I have to get, in order that everything plays nice and the 
tracks don't jam on the sprocket?
