I mentioned it because it doesn't quite work out that way. I initially used 18lb. springs in the Sturmtiger on all the suspended wheels. The total weight being suspended was around 100lbs. The heaviest portion of the chassis was up front with the motors and sprockets. To offset that I mounted the batteries in the rearmost 2/3rds of the chassis. As it turned out, the springs just didn't cut it. The springs sagged quite a bit and for the most part supported the load, but didn't have enough energy to actually rebound once compressed. That's where the equation becomes complicated. The springs have to not only be strong enough to support the weight, but also to rebound. It might take some trial and error...
