Thanks for all the ideas. I'm still trying to decide how I'm going to

I'm thinking of going with a modified version of that clutch system
and running a Y harness form the steering servo to a clutch servo.


As for the cast aluminum tracks. It's just a matter of making the wood
patterns. I think there's about 80 links total on a Sd.Kfz.250; so, if
I do 10 track patterns that's 8 pours for both tracks--not too bad. I
have been doing aluminum sand casting for years and own all my own
equipment. Right now I'm working on 6 trophies for the local Ducati
owners group, I also did there trophies last year.
I'd be willing to do rough aluminum castings a little over cost for
people here if anyone's interested. I can cast up to 10 lbs of
aluminum per pour. I can make the patterns or you can send me a
pattern you have made. I'll get some pics up when I start casting
parts for my halftrack.
