There's a photo of my setup. I used 1/4" spring steel bent at a 90 degree angle and welded to the swing arm. For the other end, I ground a flat on it and have a set-screw/bolt to retain it in place, with a locking nut applied to the bolt. I can get more detailed photos if required...
