now that i have my primer, i sprayed a few coats on the one part (that mounts to the mantle) and a few extra sprays on the seam between the two 1" couplers as it's real fine, but still visible. i'll let it dry until later tonight and give it a light sanding again and hopefully the next shot of paint will fill it in completely. i'm going to take the shorter section of the shower rod and glue some .010 plastic strips to it as the 1" pvc pipe wigles around a bit and i want to get that last part sanded down for the muzzle break. after that i just have t mill out the 4 openings in it, but the milling will have to wait a few weeks as i want to get one of them bi-directional clamps for the drill press, as i don't want to muck it up after getting to this point. with the 2 way clamp (i forget what it's called) i figure i'll get, nice straight and clean lines, and if nothing else, i'll have a purdy piece waiting to get used.
