well, i sanded down the last part for the brake muzzle, and i don't know if
i was just a little off on the last part if did (that slips over the 1"
pipe) and should have made the angle a bit more steeper, or... i don't know,
but when i put that part onto the (almost) finished pipe, it doesn't have 2
different angles, but it looks like one, long slender angle - but it's
done (almost) for now. i was going to clean up what i just sanded tonight, but
figured i'd pass as i have marks on it for where i want to mill out the 4
holes.

the other part that i have been sanding and priming just about looks done.
the one small pit i filled with some white hobby filler, the small gap
between the pipe and the couple is all but filled in with some super glue. i
just added some more to it a few minutes ago. just been holding the part
upright, sparingly putting the glue on and letting it seep into the gap for a
few seconds before grabbing a paper towel and wiping off all the excess.
right now i see a small seem about 1/4" long. i'll give it another treatment
in a few minutes and then one more later tonight and i think that should be
enough, then it'll look like one, continuous piece rather than 3 pieces put
together.

I have also been given that nearly invisible joint between the couplers
extra coats of primer as i'll give that a light sanding tomorrow along with
the little spot of filler.

now i want to find some pvc pipe or fitting that will just fit over the 1"
coupler so i can mount it to the mantle. then i think i'll look to see
about the hatches on top of the turret and the view port (?) for the drive (?)
and something for the exhaust on the back.

and i forgot while i was at the metal shop to see abut some metal for the
side skirts (i know there's something else i'm forgetting...............)
