Camera goes on the barrel, red dot sight goes in front of camera(also fixed to the barrel). Monitor and 2.4 GHZ reciever are carried with the RC transmitter. The monitor would display a "gun sight" view.
The red dot sight gives the "point of aim" of the barrel, just as on a real gun. Yes you would be lucky to see the paintball fly, but you would put the red dot on the target and fire.
