mom's one doctor is on the other side of town near a hobby shop and a RPG
game shop, so when i drop mom off, i know i sometimes have 2 to 3 hours
before i have to start heading back.

normally, for the most part, i stop in the game shop with one of newest
kits or parts to something i'm casting, or just to go in and BS with him.

I walk in, holding an idem in my hand, but held up behind my arm to keep it
from view - we great one another, ask what's new, and then i ask if he has
any thing that i could mount this to, that is in scale and i whip out the
completely primed Tiger's barrel - he couldn't believe how big it was. i
handed it to him and he started looking it over as if it was his precious.

we spoke a bit about the tank and it's scale and how a few things are now
being held up until i can get some batteries for it in about 2 week. he
thought i was just making a scaled r/c tank - until i told him about the
marker
going into ....... he loved it!

then i gave him the web site and showed him the page of tanks, then took
him to the videos and some of the battle reports and their videos. I told him
how i have been trying to get to meet the people behind me with the small,
old air field but with no luck yet. he asked about how much room do we
need for a battle, and i told him most of the battles would fit within his
store, but with the range of the flying paint balls, a lot more room.

"you know, my brother has this house and along side of it, he has an
acre...........would that be enough room?"

i'll be heading back to the store tomorrow to drop off a kit to be built
and painted for some box art and i'll inquire about the location and about
possibly seeing it one morning (after he talks to his brother of course).

after looking at some videos and a few of the tank pictures, he asked, how
much would it cost to build one depends i told him of if he wants
suspension or not, treadmill style tracks or attachment chain, how much he'd
be
willing to spend on electronics (speed controller, radio gear), then having to
buy a marker. he said he'd have to set aside some funds, but thought it
would be something to build and own one and to be in a battle - so........

i'll see what's up tomorrow and if there is a chance of having a local
field out here to battle on (i still want to get to that air field)
