Yes, many of use those 12v 18aH  batteries. You can get them for less from
here:

That motor should be fine, but you'll need to gear it down roughly 9:1. 

 

The turret traverse motor you show is WAY overpowered. Look for a small
gearmotor. A good turret traverse speed is 6-12rpm.
