Indeed. For over 20 years in the R/C combat business, Tri-Pact has used
a "lend-lease" approach to work around such issues. Specifically,
systems are never "sold" to anyone, they are loaned out for an
indefinite period of time, provided that they are actively battled.
Operators are free to modify them in any way they want to make it their
own, but they can't sell it to anyone else. When the operator no longer
wants to battle them, the assets either return to the Tri-Pact warehouse
or they are loaned out to another combatant.
