i have an idea on making a torsion bar for the tiger that i'll be trying. i'll be using a length of the music wire/spring steel across the bottom of the hull where one side will stick out 1" (will know a better length when i get to building it). the mounting end of the rod will have 2 pieces of 1/2" x 1" tacked to the sides of it that will be drilled and bolted through. on the end that sticks out an inch, i will be using a piece of aluminum bar (seeing if i an get it 1/2" x 1"). each end will have holes drilled thought it, one for the rod, the other threaded for the bolt holding the wheels on. there will be some other work done to the bar, but i'll just post up my quick sketch of the finished bar
the orange area will be drilled, and tapped on one side. the red hole attached to it is where the rod will go through, the orange hole will have a bolt to tighten the bar to the rod, this was (I hope) i can make finer adjustments to the suspension. if i can use all the road wheels on the tank, i'm going to start with 3/16" rod first as i can always drill out the arms from 3/16" to 1/4" or even just do every other one to beef up the suspension a bit more Chris, _Odyssey Slipways_ (http://hometown.aol.com/odysseyslipways/index.html) -- You are currently subscribed to the "R/C Tank Combat" group.
