I am in the same boat as you, I am new to this would love to do
something like a event or something but my armored car wont be ready.
And for the safty consern, I know because my brother works at 3M you
can get safty glass that can be put up in what ever shape you need,
There for eleminating the need for spectators to wear a mask.

Where are you located I would love to join.
