I'll be taking the Tiger hull back around to the wood shop for a bit more work to the hull. this time i'm going to have him remove the glacier (?) and the section just below it (the hull that slopes outward from it) as i can't get it to get a good fit like it did with the old hull (there is a terrible gap between the top and bottom hull and being at the front, i don't want any shots to penetrate into the hull and get things gooed up. that and there is a piece of that brittle Formica (i think that's what Brian put on there as well as the skirts along the sides of the tank) so i thought i'd remove the Turret from the hull to make it a bit easier for him to work with the upper hull, but think i'm going to leave it on (but will double check tomorrow with him) as i don't see it really being a problem, but will check with him tomorrow anyway. but as i was looking at the wiper motors that is currently being used to operate the turrets rotation, i'm thinking i might be able to keep that wiper motor, but just relocate it from under the rear deck to up front (have to check for battery clearance) and it also looks like i might be able to make it a bit more snugger to the under side of the deck, but will know to sure when i remove it tomorrow so the upper hull will sit flush on the work bench. i'll check on making the changes then. if i can keep it and make it fit better, that would be one less thing to have to worry about and can them move onto the gun elevation. i have one of them BIG (sail?) servos and one of them servo savers and will see how that works (guess i better dig out one of the transmitters and start getting some new batteries for that so i can start testing with it). and i hope to be starting to fiberglass the lower hull this coming week. i did take some pictures of the underside of the deck showing the wiper motor, chain and sprockets, and what i was thinking of, but i just went to use my external camera card reader and the pc's not reading it and i haven't been able to locate a program for it (last time all i did was plug it into the tower and it worked).
