I've been thinking a bit about this. I've come to the opinion that
prototypes should be allowed. Only for the reason that it would possibly
open the hobby to more builders. I'm not advocating a willy-nilly approuch
were anything could be built, but having a well documented list of vehicles
and prototypes that must be adhered to. As we would have it, such a list
already exists in the form of the World of Tanks online game vehicle list.
The WOT list isn't to fanciful and is actually well researched for each
vehicle represented. What I also like about the WOT list is that it
clearly defines each tank as a light, medium, or heavy and we can base our
HP's and speeds using these values, which is something I would ultimately
like to see for the hobby.

Thoughts?
