well i know no one really in the GK market does plastic kits, but i am
also looking at it as a one time investment on a lot of things i know i want
(changed over) and don't have to bother with spending time setting up forms,
pouring rubber, waitng a day, then prepping for the second half of the
mold, pour rubber and wait another day to pull them apart, and then let them
sit a few days to air out of residues that could make for a messy first few
castings (or bake them for a few minutes, but that can make the over smell a
bit and make my mother a bit pissed).

pretty much i'm paying for convenience, ready to go molds and product. with
just the sci-fi kits, I have over 60 kits i produce (i forget the parts
break down but it was a 200+). i reached the point (about a year ago) where i
can't keep up with everything, and going this route is about my only
(practical) way out. then when i start doing tank stuff, that item list is
going
to take off and unless i have a plan of how to stay ahead of it, i might
as well start looking for a padded room to check into.

when i set up for molds, i can spend a day or two on them alone as i may
have up to 15 forms to get ready or a few large parts. that's a day or two i
could spend casting or injecting or both.

I know this is going to be a very costly venture, but it's one i'm willing
to take.
