I finally got my "shop" put back together after returning home from
Afghanistan (in January) and I started building again. I received all of
my suspension components for the KV-2 (
http://s154.photobucket.com/albums/s265/nitzerebbhead/KV-2/) now and
started mounting it this weekend. I even cut all the new PVC lower hull
pieces for the M113 which will house the old drive train and
electronics into the new, stronger body. All was going well until I noticed
that one of my PVC sheets had warped pretty bad from sitting in the Texas
heat too long. Now I need to order more material to finish the M113 (
http://www.rctankcombat.com/support-vehicles/SV016/). While I'm waiting
for that I have 12 suspension brackets to cut, drill, and mount for the
KV-2. The system should allow for adjustable preload (not easily) on the
springs and ride height adjustments on each road wheel individually.
Sorry, no new pics as of yet, but I should be able to get some posted this
weekend. The next problem would be that one of my 18AH batteries is shot
from sitting too long. Even if I get the suspension in, I need some new
batteries. Oh well, one day at a time...
