I've been following this<http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1757054094/xbee-handheld-controller> kickstarter project for some time. Basically they're building a really awesome controller designed for robots and such.
What makes it neat is that it has way more inputs/channels (knobs, switches, dials, etc) then controllers designed for hobby aircraft. It also features a programmable microcontroller, so you can do program any type of advanced features you think would be neat. For a radio, it uses a Xbee (2.4Ghz radio system), that is very easy to hook up to a microcontroller such as an Arduino. An Arduino can drive any type of ESC trivially. I am not sure when the controllers will be available to buy, but if I manage to get one, I'm pretty sure it would be a really nice platform for this. -Andy On Sat, Dec 29, 2012 at 12:12 PM, <[email protected]> wrote: > ** > what about that game pad controller? > > Chris > > -- > You are currently subscribed to the "R/C Tank Combat" group. > To post a message, send email to [email protected] > To unsubscribe, send email to [email protected] > Visit the group at http://groups.google.com/group/rctankcombat > -- You are currently subscribed to the "R/C Tank Combat" group.
