In a recent post, the founder and president of Tyng Technologies announced
an upcoming reveal of Project Extreme, the latest technology to come out of
the company. Tyng Tech hasn't produced much in the past few years,
primarily because of mis-management of investment funds, but this latest
announcement could mean that they are trying to come back to the glory they
once had. In advance of the reveal, this reporter was granted access to
Tyng Tech facilities to review the new products and here's what we found.
1) The T-Max suspension uses a swing-arm and "springy thing" ... it goes
bouncy, bouncy ... not exactly rocket science.
2) The innovative "bottom feed" ammo system consists of an additional
upside-down magazine that allows Tyng Tech vehicles to continue shooting
after rolling over due to high-speed accidents. In the past, Tyng Tech
vehicles were exposed like upside turtles after such incidents ... now the
turtles can shoot back while awaiting the recovery team.
3) Tyng Tech's venture into the world of electronic components will
definitely cause the most activity in competitor companies. Specifically,
it is widely anticipated that Tri-Pact will start marketing a Halon
retro-fit kit targeted at all customers who purchase Tyng Tech electronics.
As always, Tank Expo is expected to showcase some of the best (and not so
best) technology developed in the R/C Tank Combat hobby (and other R/C
hobbies). Experts in all aspects of combat technology will exchange
information and answer questions during the various panel sessions. The
event is held in beautiful Annapolis, MD, with the official "Opening of the
Donuts" Ceremony starting promptly at 10am-ish.
