for our R/C submarines we use to use a Pitch control rather than a gyro. right now i am looking to see who still might sell them, but honestly i think either option would be a waste. if your looking to use them to keep a bead on your target as you chase it across the battle field i can't see them actually working as you would need to set them somehow on the fly. i know the pitch controller would only keep your barrel level and not of any use if you are going over hills of any kind as the pitch control (even though it would keep the barrel level) can't take into account the other vehicle's rise and fall as it travels the filed. or am i missing something such as a cool factor of having the barrel stay straight and stable as you cross the filed.
