With a little looking at my lathe again, I was able to get the broken tool post remounted using a threaded steel plate that came with it and reversing the post itself so that there were fresh threads going into the mounting hole on the longitudinal slide. The steel plate added some additional stability to the base of the tool post so I'm up and cutting metal again! I still have a few broken parts that need to be replaced, but I can get those ordered next week.
