So it begins. We are moving along slowly but surely on this. Hopefully it
is ok to post my build pictures here.

These are the first images of my son Colin and my attempt at creating a
Jagdtiger. Thanks to Chris B. we have a scale set of plans to work off of.
I started using a KT set in 1/35 and trying to create the 1/6 plans from
that. It wasn't going well: Chris saved my butt.

Found a local repair place that specializes in treadmills so I have my belt
ready; I just need to try to find some decent hardwood for the treads. I
have tried Lowes and Home Depot but there isn't anything that looks like it
will work there. Some people say about using MDF but I am not sure I have
found the right type yet?

I've been working with Frank and have the drive sprockets figured out Just
need to order the resin and they will be ready for the install.

Joe has been an unbelievable help and has provided us with lots of parts
and knowledge. He cut and bent the aluminum parts that were copied from the
plywood mock up below. Hopefully life will cooperate and Colin and I will
have the lower chassis assembled this weekend.

We are going to try to come up with the suspension and mount it on the
wooden model before drilling the final chassis. We are both very excited to
be working on this and can't wait to see it start to look like a tank.

Ready to be fit up. My son created the front lifting brackets from looking
at pictures of the Jagdtiger that used to be at the Aberdeen Proving
Grounds. Not too bad for a 12 year old.

The final pattern. I will post pictures of the aluminum chassis once it is
assembled. Colin is in there for scale; he doesn't look very excited. He
was tired from doing carpentry all afternoon, lol.
