Head of Serials Cataloging – University of Georgia Libraries, Cataloging Department
The University of Georgia Libraries seeks a Head of Serials Cataloging who will be responsible to the Head of the Cataloging Department for the planning, coordination, and control of cataloging, classification, and holdings information of serials in all languages, subjects, and formats. This includes performing original and copy cataloging of materials. Responsibilities also include supervision of two support staff and one librarian, the Serials Cataloger. The Head of Serials Cataloging serves as a resource person in the area of serials cataloging both within the Department and in other areas of the Libraries. The Head of Serials Cataloging also participates in the Cataloging Department management group. The Serials Cataloging Section of the Cataloging Department is comprised of the Head, one librarian, and two support staff members.
