Wired gigabit ethernet connections On windows end WinXP OS 3.6 Ghz 2 GB ram On opensolaris end: version-2009.6: Athlon64 +3400 2.8 Ghz 3gb ram The opensolaris machine ran the the rdiff-backup process. > How long does copying 23 GB between those machines with, say, rsync or scp > take? I don't know exactly but approximately somewhat less than 1/2 of the time rdiff took. Probably around 2 hrs. via rsync.
