We are seeing far more of this in the past 2-3 years, especially for off grid 
systems.

It seems like very few of these new startup bandwagon places have even a remote 
clue as to how to size battery based systems. I would guess that half of our 
tech support calls come from people that bought systems from someone "cheaper" 
than us.

A couple days ago a cell phone company that has a few small sites called us 
about how the sites were all going dead. They sent us a copy of what they 
bought, and the <unnamed> company based their battery system on the yearly 
average insolation. DUH!

  We are seeing more and more installers entering the local solar market with 
little or no experience.  Yes, they may have attended some kind of 2-day dealer 
training in order to set up an account to purchase solar hardware, but believe 
me, most could not design or size anything....
