We're in the middle of a 2 Outback inverter system, and incredulous at
the current Flex ware AC box and ACA system. I didn't care for it
when it was green, and now the new and improved version is
well....silver.....
First for over $300, an enclosure should come with more. No breakers,
no bus bars (except ground bar) no wiring.... then the ACA now has
concentric 2" and 1-1/4" KOs. Fine, except the KOs on the Flex ware AC
box are 1-1/2" and don't line up. If I was trying to mix products from
2 different manufacturers, I would understand and deal with my poor
choices. In this case It's all Outback from DC to Inverter to AC.
While I'm at it, why can't we remove the AC cover plate to the
inverters to access the meter input, etc without taking all the covers
off?
I've been installing Outback inverters since serial #000034, so I've
done my part to be supportive, but now many years and many millions of
$$ later, they should have this worked out better.
Midnite in contrast practically spoon feeds you the install with all
the adapters, breakers, busbars, and even precut cables in one product.
You want to feel like you're being listened to and supported out in
the field.
