Not sure about the conduit, but I can chime in about the location. NEC Article 100 defines damp as those locations protected from weather, and give as examples under a porch or canopy, or some basements. Wet locations are those "in unprotected locations exposed to weather." Those conduit runs are not in damp locations, they're wet.
A safe assumption in the PV industry is that everything we do is a wet location, until proven otherwise.
