I was working for a local installer last year and we had a shipment from Sunpower that had a module in the middle of a pallet with shattered tempered glass. It was a circular stress break and appeared as if someone had stepped on or pressed into the middle of the glass. No visible damage to pallet. No visible mark or impact dent outside box. Noticed not parts sandwiched between modules. I think Sunpower was skeptical that such damage could occur, but we documented the damage and sent it back and received replacement.

How did your supplier/manufacturer handle it? How did the freight company handle it, having not noted anything on the delivery ticket? I heard of some other installers recently having similar problems. We heeded the advice to inspect shipments carefully. We just had our first issue... Any thoughts on how this kind of damage happens?
