We had one of those too, some years ago for solar fairs. Ours was homemade, with 8 little wands on a rotating disc that dipped into bubble solution and then rotated in front of the blower. Except that ours appealed to (most of the) adults as well as the kids, as we had pasted a photo of George W on the backboard and the fan blew out through his mouth.

Hi Jason,

I have an electric bubble blower that runs off of a 12 volt wall wart.  I connect it to a 75 watt 36 cell module with one of the bypass diodes shorted, so the output voltage is only 10 volts open circuit.  Kids love it because the bubbles stop coming out when you stand in front of the module.  I bought the bubble machine at Costco several years ago.

Subject: [RE-wrenches] Solar Presentations for Kids

I'm looking for an idea, project, or pre-made kit to engage a group of 6-10 year old kids for an hour. I've been doing PowerPoint presentations and games in the past for these types of events, but I'm finding it a bit stale. Any ideas to create a little more excitement and wonder?
