i have a customer with a failed air (xmfr) temp sensor inside their gvfx3648. when ordering a replacement, i was bitching about having to unwire the unit and remove it from the wall (60 pounds is heavier than it used to be) to accomplish the repair... the tech said most people do these projects with the unit still mounted. i have previously heard this was a huge hassle as the boards do not easily line up when the unit is not flat on its back.
whats the wrench experience? take it off the wall, or do the repair with it still mounted?
