Subject: [RE-wrenches] DC conduit

Esteemed Wrenches,

One of my customers (who is also an Electrical contractor) asked me why
metal conduit is required from the combiner to the inverter. In this case the
DC run will go under the house in the crawl space before exiting the foundation
and up to the DC disco on the inverter. With inverters that incorporate AFCI on
the PV side, I couldn't come up with a good answer.
