Possibly added after market, but I've seen quite a few APTs with QOUs
used on the DC side. I don't recall the exact mounting configuration.
In the days of DC loads, I would see the Heine's on the charge
controller in, and then the QOUs used as PV inputs and DC load circuits.
I never sold the APTs; we built our own DC load centers until Outback
and Midnite came along with saner pricing and better charge controllers.

Ray,
If you have, it wasn't correct. The CFs are 1" wide, the QOUs are
3/4", and the mounting holes are 1" apart. Are you sure?
The CFs have a 125 VDC rating.

Ray,
The AC breakers were SqD QOU; the DC were Heineman/Carling/Airpax CF
series.

I thought the APT panels had Square D QOU breakers? Also Midnite
makes an adapter plate that lets you use a newer panel mount DC
breaker in the place of the old medium Heini breakers. Might not
help there.
I added an MPPT controller to an APT center a couple years ago, and
I just added a small secondary breaker box, because I didn't have
right size QOU.

Friends:
I am adding an MPPT charge controller to a functioning APT power
center. I
need one breaker for the job. The breakers are like those used in
the Trace
DC250 cabinets but surface mount. Where do I look for one of
these, please?
Thank you very much.
