Test resistance only on disconnected wiring, measure resistant to ground
either side of the switching point. . The controller will likely be a open
collector that will measure current to ground. Do nor use megger, you are
not testing insulation.

Is there a way to test the conductivity sensors for the low water shutoff
and restart on a submersible well pump, from the surface? Could the wires
be resistivity tested?

What should the resistance readings be between the wires? Would a megohm
meter be the right tool to use? Could the pump be harmed by the high
voltage spike in the water around it produced by the meter?

Thanks,
