Test resistance only on disconnected wiring, measure resistant to ground either side of the switching point. . The controller will likely be a open collector that will measure current to ground. Is there a way to test the conductivity sensors for the low water shutoff and restart on a submersible well pump, from the surface? Could the wires be resistivity tested? What should the resistance readings be between the wires? Would a megohm meter be the right tool to use? Could the pump be harmed by the high voltage spike in the water around it produced by the meter?
