Hi Jay I have not worked on that unit, but I have worked on some other units. This a double conversion unit, it has double conversion, and I think you are talking of the 3000 VA unit. It has both a AC to Battery conversion and a Battery to AC conversion. So it has an efficiency and tare losses. Usually the AC to battery is the lower efficiency, The tare seems to be the same both ways. I expect your unit will be 40 to 80 watts Tare. This what I have found on other units. This unit may be better but I doubt it.
