table 3 is a bus bar size selector based on ampacities--you can match that with
what Mcmaster offers in 101 copper (higher purity than standard 110
copper).we've made bus bars for years using this method. trickiest part is
drilling a clean hole in the copper.

 Glenn,
Thank you for that good information.

Where do you find the specifications relating cross sectional area to amperage?
Section 366.23 of the NEC allows 1000 A / sq. in. of cross sectional area of
the conductor. Is that a good rule of thumb, or is there something more
specific to battery busing?

I have always bought the appropriately sized for the anticipated current,
copper bar stock from McMaster Carr and cut, drilled and applied heat shrink
myself…

Subject: [RE-wrenches] Bus bar battery jumpers

Hello Wrenches,

I am wiring a set of 2 V Concorde batteries for 48 V. Each battery has 2
terminals which will be about 2 1/2 inches away from the terminals they will be
wired to. Standard battery jumpers would be ridiculous in this situation.
Busbars would be clean and efficient. Concorde doesn't have a solution.

Does anyone know of a source for busbars?

Thank you,

Drake
