Does anyone have any information on EnergyToolbase? I used them for quite a while when I was consulting with a number of Southern California K-12 School Districts. I was fairly satisfied with their tech support save for the fact that Markus was based in Hawaii which was pretty inconvenient.
A few months ago, with the pending reduction of the ITC (we're back!), my potential clients wanted to take a break and also they continued to need to deal with the COVID-19 Pandemic. I told them that we should re-engage in April-May 2021 and restart their energy efficiency / energy conservation / solar carport efforts then.
Consequently in December 2020, I instructed EnergyToolbase to cancel/suspend my subscription, and was told when I wanted to restart, all I needed to do was let them know. I would incur no penalties nor initiation fees, and all my analyses would be saved. Well, subsequent to my request, my BofA account was charged in December 2020, and despite additional contact with them to confirm my cancellation/suspension. I was charged again in January 2021. No one returns my calls or emails. As a result I have filed a claim with BofA, and BofA will not honor any further charges from ETB.
I know that ETB was acquired by Pason System in 2020, and Pason is primarily a drilling rig company, which at the time of acquisition I thought odd. Their stock price hit a low in Nov. 2020 and has since rebounded to 1/2 its trailing price.
Any insight into ETB would be welcome.
