I would consider looking at full replacement, because if they have a mx60 it’s likely the inverters are also 20 yrs old.
Given the costs of a 600v CC, plus BOS ( I don’t recommend installing 600v into the green boxes) a midnite AIO isn’t going to be much more expensive.
Just my 2 cents Jay

I don't have another recommendation for a 600v charge controller but I can tell you Midnite does make a standard, single space panelmount 125a breaker. Also keep in mind the PV input breaker would have to be 600v rated, also readily available from Midnite..

Hi all,
I have a client that wants to replace a PV array that is aging and hurricane damaged. It's a rather old array of unknown rating connected to a MX60 via a Flexware 500 DC enclosure (48V).
I'm planning to install eight REC 450 Alpha Pure RX in series. I'm going to need a 600 volt charge controller. I'm considering a Midnite Hawk's Bay unless someone has a better idea.
The customer sent me this crude image. I can see the two inverter breakers on the right. I am wondering what the two breakers on the left are. I'm thinking one of these is an 80 amp breaker for the output of the MX60. The other one is probably a PV input breaker of unknown rating. I would need to change these to accommodate the new charge controller. The Midnite Hawk's Bay 90 requires a 125A output breaker. Does anyone know if there is an Outback breaker of this physical size and 125A rating to plug into this DC FlexWare enclosure? For the PV input, I should be able to get whatever breaker is required for this single string of PV.
I'm all ears if there is an easier way to go about this with approximately 3,600W of new PV.
Thanks in advance!
