Me again, sorry. My friend has a hot tub that hits a high crest of wattage
demand when it starts up. He gets a monthly demand charge from the public
utility & that's what first motivated him to want the battery. IDK if a
special configuration is required (or possible) to limit the grid demand by
drawing from battery power instead.

Let's see... peak shaving is perhaps the correct term for what he wants to
do, and I don't know if that's automatically baked into how this battery
works.
