Looks like 48 VDC is the lowest you can set it:

Or can I set the Rebulk voltage for the pair of Outback VFX3524 inverters on the Mate to lower than the Refloat? Will it let me do that?

I have very limited access to the equipment to experiment.

Thank you,

Drake

The problem I am running into is that REFLOAT keeps initiating and the system never gets triggered to go back into the bulk / absorb cycle.

Can I avoid this by turning the float time to zero?

Thank you,

Have you set up "Rebulk Voltage" in the advanced menu?

Hello Drake,
Absorption is the phase where voltage remains constant. Until the Absorb voltage value is achieved, you will be bulk charging. You can only force Float or Bulk.

Hi Jay,

The system feeds the grid through an SMA H-FUS inverter. The Outbacks are off grid inverters, but are AC coupled to the batteries to provide power when the grid is down.

The inverters monitor the batteries and go into REFLOAT when the batteries hit 25 volts. I would like the inverters to go strait into the ABSORB cycle instead of going to REFLOAT.

The grid tie came after the the Outbacks were already in as a backup system.

Thank you,

Drake

Hi drake.

You're talking about the inverters charging the battereis, meaning
this is a grid connected system?

Do you have a mate3/s or 1?

Hello Wrenches,

We have a rental property with two, stacked VFX 3524 inverters. In the winter the batteries don't get an adequate solar charge. I would like to have the batteries get a bulk charge when the voltage drops to 24 volts, but it keeps hitting refloat.

How do I disable refloat? Can I just set the refloat time to zero?

Thank you,

Drake
