Are you sure it's listed for use with finely stranded cable?

The Renon Xcellent Plus battery unit has a special connector that is rated for 2/0 CU battery cables, but when trying to build cable with fine-stranded copper (type MTW), it is extremely difficult to get all the strands into the connector (and is a known complaint to their tech support)
Anyhow have any tips or tricks for fitting finely stranded copper conductors into this connector?
