I’m guessing if the car uses NACS or CCS connector, it will need outside control / feedback to use raw PV power. 

This AI summary illustrates the connector with raw power and two pins for negotiation. That is the key. “How much can you deliver?” “Please only deliver” commands would need to go somewhere. 

There might be a battery free inverter that can negotiate this as it tracks solar MPPT. 

Many all-in-one inverters nowadays have smart ports. I wonder if they can handle EV charging without batteries and I wonder what the car thinks about when the smart port just turns off with no handshake. 

For instance, on the NCS charger, you press the button on the handle to tell the car to stop charging (it unlocks), then you can unplug it. I’m sure the car is OK if you just turned off the breaker visa-vie the smart port turning off. I wonder.
