If it’s lithium then you’ll need to use a dedicated voltage charger. So the battereis are not hit with potentially hi volts from the array. 

The same process as once the volts get to where the Bms is working then the solar via CC should take over.

It's a Li battery.  

While Iron Edison is no longer in business, I believe that ReLion offers a very similar battery.

I'll give the charger a try.

A short cut is to turn off the dc loads side of the system and hit the battery with PV volts directly.  Then once the battery has enough volts to start the CC, it’ll start charging.

There must be some dc loads on which drained the batteries.
Hard to know if they are dead. They are hard to kill but not impossible.
