Ok,

So I downloaded DB2 and installed it on a DB test server.  From the server I connected to it and created a database.  However, I can’t figure out how to connect to that DB2 server from my local ColdFusion server.  Do I need to have DB2 connect installed locally to connect to the server on another machine?  Is there some other security setting I need to make?

Doug

Hi Doug,

Thanks for clarifying. I cannot claim myself as DB2 guru or anything but can you tell me a little bit more on what kind of information or knowledge is needed to create the two files that you mentioned? I am interested in helping out if I can. (That is a big IF.) Heck, I should try creating the two files for MS Access first just to get the hang of it. :)

Pine,

I’m actually quite interested in adding DB2 support.  Unfortunately, I don’t know much of anything about DB2.  I heard a wild rumor that there was a free version being released, but I could never find it…

Either way, adding DB2 support shouldn’t be that hard.  There’s only two files that need to be created.  The problem is that it requires a certain amount of knowledge of the platform.

Hi all,

I am new to the list so forgive me if this question is being asked before. I would like to know anybody developing/doing reactor to be on DB2?

Thanks & Regards,

Pine
