Doug, I had the same problem with MSSQL when using it locally. If it's just to test, try to create a ODBC connection and then in CF use that one instead of DB2 driver.

I must have auto-upgraded the server because when I installed connect it yelled at me about how the versions were not exactly the same. I installed anyhow, but I can't tell any difference. There're no start menu options and I still can't connect from CF. Do I really need to have these two versions exactly the same? Is there a trick to connecting from CF? IE: can I use the MX 7-provided db2 drivers? Do I need to configure access on the db2 server? The error I'm getting is: Connection verification failed for data source: ContactManagerDB2 java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][DB2 JDBC Driver]Error establishing socket. Connection refused: connect The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia][DB2 JDBC Driver]Error establishing socket. Connection refused: connect Looks like the system isn't listing on the needed port at all. (No firewall.) Any ideas?
