Perhaps he is trying to help create time logs for purposes of identifying choke points? or delayed processing events?

The Record end-of-save method timestamp is *before* the timestamp for the PK
lookup in the DAO (!).
If I turn debugging on, the difference is fairly large:

06/06 12:19:11 Information [jrpp-471] - ** got new PK = 20 @ {ts '2006-06-06
12:19:11'}
And another thing - I notice I get the end-of-save twice, once without
the 'new PK' log a little earlier.
