Are they in the web root or the applications folder root like so

www
   -appname
      -reactor
      -data
      -reactor.xml

You may need to call as such

<cfset session.Reactor = CreateObject("component",
"appname.reactor.reactorFactory").init(expandPath("reactor.xml")) />

Apologies if you already tried this but i am just trying to think of why this is happening, just an idea. Please let us all know what happens.

I don't think the mapping is it.  Here's the lay of the land:

*reactor folder in web root (/reactor)
*reactor.xml in web root (/reactor.xml)
* data folder in web root (/AppData)

This is my config in reactor.xml :

<config>
                <project value="Prevent" />
                <dsn value="Prevent" />
                <type value="mssql" />
                <mapping value="/AppData" />
                <mode value="development" />
                <!-- These config values are not required -->
                <username value="Prevent" />
                <password value="******" />
</config>

I call this code from my scribble pad:

<cfset session.Reactor = CreateObject("component",
"reactor.reactorFactory").init(expandPath("reactor.xml")) />

And I get this error:

The argument REACTORFACTORY passed to function init() is not of type
reactor.reactorFactory.

Am I missing something really obvious?  I've been working 18 hour
days trying to meet a deadline--so maybe I've gotten "brain fog", but
I've done this a thousand times without any problems.

Are there any issues on a shared server that may cause a problem
(even though I'm using no CF Mappings)?  What about the reactor.xml
file--it's the same I've been using locally, but would this error
happen if the xml is malformed?  Database problems?  Sun spots? ;-)

I appreciate any help.

Thanks again,
Brad
