Without a doubt in my mind, removing children is not the same as deleting children. What if you have an address associated with several users. If you remove that address you don't want to delete it... that would affect all sorts of other records potentially.
Furthermore, there's no cascading deletes in reactor on purpose. The potential ramifications are just too large. This should remain as is.
