If the hosting provider will not remove the mapping, you will be in a quandary. It would be advisable for the long term, to switch hosting companies, because mappings, as you are finding out, impact the entire server.
I agree. If the hosting company are giving out mappings like that then they are idiots. Switch to a hosting company that knows what it is doing! For example, HostMySite let anyone create mappings but always put your customer number at the end so each customer's mappings are unique - and having _H12345 in your mapping name is a great way to discourage you from even trying to create (unnecessary) mappings to things like Reactor and Model-Glue etc! :) -- Sean A Corfield -- (904) 302-SEAN An Architect's View -- http://corfield.org/ "If you're not annoying somebody, you're not really alive." -- Margaret Atwood -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Reactor for ColdFusion Mailing List [email protected] Archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/reactor%40doughughes.net/ -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --
