Although I was able to modify the XXXtoString() code that generates a hash for 
a query so that it would work in Railo (1.1 beta) unfortunately it then 
chokes on the cfinclude in abstractGateway.getByQuery() that brings in the 
saved query body - because the cfqueryparam tags aren't inside a cfquery.

Ho hum - I've reported it to them as issue #35.
