Currently, indentation at the top-level is not well defined. My proposal is:
1. Proper indentation handling at the top-level is done only at the left edge. If a leading indent is detected, we fall back to modern-expressions (i.e. disable indent processing) for the next expression. This has been much discussed before; in fact, this is not strictly speaking my proposal, this is dwheeler's. See the readable-discuss topic: "[Readable-discuss] I-expressions idea: Whitespace at toplevel DISABLES I-expressions" Also, see an alternative proposal from dwheeler on the readable-discuss topic: '[Readable-discuss] Proposal: "Most consistent" interpretation for leading horizontal whitespace' My vote is "Whitespace at toplevel DISABLES I-expressions." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
