That's also an interesting idea, but not quite the same thing I was suggesting. I'm not talking about using exsiting REALbasic controls. I'm talking about the situation where you are going to design an entire UI in one Canvas. So you will most likely have a class hierarchy of "visuals" that you will place on the canvas in some kind of parent/child relationship. Since REALbasic itself doesn't support laying out such visuals, I was thinking it might be interesting to write a layout editor.
